Curriculum and Instruction
The focus of Curriculum and Instruction is to engage in a collaborative and continuous cycle of learning and improvement at all levels.
Exemplary instructional leadership is essential, focused on teaching and learning and engaged in data-driven decision making.
We have an obligation to ensure that all student have multiple opportunities for attainment of skills and knowledge needed for post-secondary success.

Response to Intervention (RTI)
Response to Intervention (RTI) refers to a process that monitors how well students respond to changes in instruction. The goal is to quickly identify those in need of help, provide interventions that have been shown to be effective with other students, and then monitor their progress to determine if the interventions are working. If an intervention is not working, then a different intervention needs to be used and monitored for effectiveness.
Reading Coaches at each elementary school:
• Identify at-risk students and facilitate implementation of scientifically research-based interventions.
• Support stakeholders in the use of data-driven decision making.
• Encourage collaboration within the school community to improve outcomes for all students.
• Utilize technology within the learning environment to assess and increase student achievement.
School Counselors
School Counselors are vital members of the education team. They help all students in the areas of academic achievement, personal and social development, and career development. School Counselors address the needs of students through prevention and intervention programs that are a part of the comprehensive school counseling program.
Professional School Counselors have a master's degree or higher in school counseling, meet the state certification/licensure standards, and uphold ethical and professional standards of the American School Counseling Association.
